Job summary

Onco360 Oncology Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Benefit Verification Specialist to verify patient insurances, load coverage, and coordinate benefits for cancer therapies. The role emphasizes first-call resolution for providers and patients and requires IN Pharmacy Technician credentials to qualify for remote or on-site work.

The position offers a starting salary of $24/hour, a $5,000 sign-on bonus for hires before Dec 31, 2026, and quarterly incentives plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma or GED; experience in Pharmacy, Medical Billing, or Benefits Verification.
• Desired: Associate degree or equivalent program from a 2-year program or technical school; Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB); Specialty pharmacy experience.
• Required: 1+ years pharmacy or benefit verification experience.
• Desired: 3+ years pharmacy or benefit verification experience.
• Required: Pharmacy Technician License/Registration with Board of Pharmacy.
• Knowledge: Pharmacy insurance and benefit verification, PBM and Medical contracts.
• Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance.
• Experience with NCPDP claim rejection resolution and coordination of benefits.
• Familiarity with NDC billing and pharmacy terminology.

Responsibilities

• First call resolution to assist health care providers and patients with pharmacy needs.
• Provide accurate and timely responses to requests from operations, providers, and patients.
• Ensure complete and accurate patient setup in CPR+ with demographics and insurance.
• Perform full benefits verification for pharmacy and medical benefits; load primary/secondary/tertiary insurances.
• Run test claims to obtain valid responses and document outcomes in CPR+ for operations.
• Facilitate medical authorizations, LOAs, and TOAs for commercial, Medicaid, Medicare.
• Maintain a safe, compliant pharmacy environment and protect patient confidentiality.
• Contribute to team by taking on related tasks and other duties.
• Follow Code of Business Conduct, policies, and applicable laws.
