Job summary

PHI Health, LLC is seeking a qualified Flight Paramedic to provide safe, comprehensive care to critically ill and/or injured patients in pre-hospital settings and during inter-facility transports. The role requires active state paramedic certification and 3+ years of busy 911 experience, with strong emphasis on documentation, communication, and clinical proficiency.

Applicants should maintain current BLS/ACLS/PALS/PEPP and PHTLS/ITLS, with NRP preferred, and FP-C within 24 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Active paramedic certification in the state employed.
• 3+ years (5 preferred) field experience in a busy 911/pre-hospital service.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP and PHTLS/ITLS; NRP preferred.
• FP-C within 24 months of hire.
• Instructor certifications preferred.
• Must pass pre-placement physical exam incl. functional capacity exam and background screen.
• Residence within 60 miles of Indiana bases or willingness to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Performs specialized assessments, diagnoses, therapies and emergency treatment for patients transported by rotor-wing, fixed-wing, or ground.
• Documents information for assessment, treatment and billing.
• Maintains effective communication with management and internal/external customers.
• Supports PR and marketing activities.
• Maintains knowledge through meetings, chart reviews, equipment reviews, labs, rotations and CE sessions.
• Completes annual recurrent competency requirements.
• Functions under Medical Director supervision and adheres to scope of practice.
