McFarland Construction seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead operations for our Indiana market, directing multiple projects with autonomy and accountability.

You will mentor the Indiana project management team, drive safety, schedule, and budget adherence, and pursue new business opportunities across the Midwest, while collaborating with HR on recruiting and development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in commercial construction.
• Experience managing and developing project management teams.
• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Ability to travel across Indiana project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational execution across all active Indiana projects.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the Indiana project management team.
• Own the office's organizational structure and role clarity with executive leadership.
• Identify and pursue new business development opportunities in the Midwest market.
• Partner with HR and executive leadership on recruiting and developing PM talent.
• Monitor team workload and morale; address retention risks.
• Serve as the primary contact between the Indiana office and McFarland leadership.
• Oversee project financials including budgets, forecasting, and profitability.
• Adapt strategy and staffing plans as market conditions evolve.
