Job summary

S&P Global seeks a Data Operations Associate (Positon: Custom Index Manager) in New York to manage the full data lifecycle from preparation to reporting. You will implement complex index methodologies, interact with proprietary systems, and work with large data sets in Excel.

Qualifications

  • Strong math background and analytical abilities.
  • 0–3 years of professional experience; internships okay.
  • Excellent analytical/quantitative problem solving under pressure.
  • Detail oriented with daily production task discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to coordinate across groups.

Responsibilities

  • Data preparation, validation, and entry into calculation engine.
  • Improve processes and tools; support real-time and end-of-day data delivery.
  • Prepare and calculate client custom indices; adjust data per index rules.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot complex index models in Excel daily.
  • Provide customer service to custom index clients and perform quantitative analyses.
  • Collaborate with IT and other groups within S&P Index Services.
