Job summary

Peak Heart and Vascular in Cottonwood, AZ is seeking a Sonographer to perform high-quality vascular ultrasound procedures, educate patients, and support a safe, efficient workflow in the Imaging department.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, producing quality images, communicating results to physicians, and assisting with equipment QC. Requires ARDMS/BLS certification, 2 years of experience, and ability to work with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires national certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and/or licensure by the state regulatory agency.
• Advance certification by accrediting body in vascular or related specialty within 18 months of hire if applicable.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs procedures by following and verifying orders; uses independent judgment per policies.
• Educates patients and families about procedures; demonstrates professional behavior and teamwork.
• Produces high quality images and documents results for interpretation.
• Assists with equipment quality control and troubleshooting.
• Maintains patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.
• Mentors new staff and participates in department workflow and supply management.
