Job summary

Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA is seeking a Vascular Technologist to perform vascular imaging using duplex and Doppler techniques and to provide preliminary findings to the interpreting physician. You will work independently, consulting with ordering and interpreting physicians when important findings are encountered.

The role requires an Associate’s Degree or equivalent, RVT or RVS eligibility, and relevant ultrasound experience.

Qualifications

• One year experience in a dedicated vascular lab, or three years full-time experience in general ultrasound preferred.
• Associate’s Degree or equivalent, or graduate of an accredited clinical ultrasound program.
• RVT through the ARMDS, or RVS through the CCI, or eligible to sit for either registry exam
• Must be able to operate complex ultrasound equipment and HIS/CIS systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform vascular imaging using duplex and Doppler techniques.
• Provide preliminary findings to the interpreting physician.
• Work independently and consult with ordering/interpreting physicians as needed.
• Ensure patient welfare during outpatient or inpatient testing.
• Adhere to BMC protocol and operate ultrasound equipment and related systems.
