Job summary

Grocery Outlet is seeking Independent Operators who will own and run their own Grocery Outlet store with support from the brand. This hands-on, entrepreneurial role emphasizes autonomy, disciplined store management, and the ability to drive sales and profitability in a local market.

You will receive training and corporate support while developing leadership and merchandising skills in a fast-growing, independent operator network.

Qualifications

Minimum of 4 years’ retail store management or multi-unit restaurant management experience.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for retail and customer service.
Strong leadership skills and ability to build and develop a team.
Business acumen, including financial and operational management experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily store functions including inventory management, compliance, and financial oversight to drive profitability.
Recruit, hire, and train a high-performing team for exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Manage buying and merchandising to meet local community preferences within Grocery Outlet’s model.
Engage with local communities and causes to reflect the mission of Touching lives for the better.
Maintain financial performance, including sales, margins, expenses, and profitability.
