We’re looking for an experienced and sales hungry Independent Sales Rep to join our innovative and globally growing business. You’ll bring enthusiasm, energy and expertise in maximizing sales and profitability to a number of important independent accounts across your territory. You’ll have an eye for analyzing trends and financial data to identify risks and opportunities at the sku level and developing creative strategies to ensure the success of our accounts.

You’ll have a great network within the shoe industry and have experience in retail buying and / or wholesale sales with an understanding of retail financial metrics to evaluate short and long term impacts to business. You’ll be fiercely passionate about footwear and looking to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where you can make a real impact along the way.

The Responsibilities:

  1. Sell in FitFlop to Independent retailers; ensuring that the FitFlop business is maximized by selling identified collections of product, managing inventory flow, and profitable sell through
  2. Communicate to the Sales Director on the status of the FitFlop business within each account
  3. Formulate various strategies and selling goals that fosters the long-term growth of FitFlop
  4. Develop and maintain close relationships with customers within the account base, ensuring that relevant information is properly communicated
  5. Work with the Sales Director to plan the sales and product distribution strategy - execute this strategy using a variety of sales tools, including seasonal face-to-face sales meetings with customers and weekly sales analysis
  6. Conduct regular analysis of marketplace to identify opportunities and challenges for in-season business and future product line planning
  7. Focus on new business development by opening new accounts
  8. Actively manage sell through at retail - demonstrate “best in class” communication of brand and product messaging

The Person:

  1. Footwear industry expert with experience managing independent accounts
  2. Ability to identify opportunity and drive new business
  3. Strong understanding of financial measurements: sales, weeks of supply, inventory turn, sell-thru and how to impact them
  4. Strategic thinker, able to prioritize and think through a variety of issues at the same time
  5. Thoughtful decision maker
  6. Motivated self-starter
  7. Confident and able to remain professional in pressure situations
  8. Excellent organizational and communications skills
  9. Sales, strategic planning, forecasting, business math
  10. PC savvy, including Microsoft Office
  11. Super-flexible to travel – you’ll be on the road a lot!

Please note, these are remote positions with occasional visits to our New York City office. These are commission only positions (1099) and successful applicants will be self-employed.
