Job summary

American Greetings in Anchorage is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service multiple retail locations, display products in greeting card departments, and maintain backrooms and inventory on a scheduled route.

You will work independently with a tablet, coordinate with store staff, and adapt to holiday peaks when hours increase. No experience is required as training is provided; you must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and have reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older.
• Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Reliable transportation as most routes have multiple retail locations.
• Reliable internet to receive critical job information and updates.
• Technological competency—able to learn and use company-provided tablet for training and daily tasks.
• Willingness to meet scheduling needs, including occasional weekends and surrounding major holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service stores on your assigned route, including merchandising and organizing product orders, displaying product in greeting card departments and other retail locations, maintaining backroom areas, and other inventory tasks as needed.
• Communicate with management any questions or concerns regarding service or schedules.
• Work in a fast-paced retail environment utilizing time management and organizational skills.
• Partner with and build relationships with store associates and management during daytime hours.
• Availability for additional working days and extended hours around major holidays.
• Provide occasional assistance with store resets including minor fixture work, product assembly, relocation, or removal as requested.
• Review and plan weekly service schedule and workload in assigned stores using a company tablet.
• The ability to work independently and with a team.
