Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a qualified nurse to provide independent, comprehensive care in a clinical setting. The role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating care for patients, and delegating as needed to maintain optimal outcomes.

The position requires a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred), 1 year of related experience, and an active RN license (state or compact) with BLS. Schedule runs 7AM–7PM, part-time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• RN License in state of employment or compact; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Uses the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation) for assigned patients.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, families, and caregivers.
