Job summary

Winston Retail is looking for motivated, detail-oriented retail professionals to join our team in Fairfield, IA as Retail Support Merchandisers. This independent contractor role blends ongoing store support with project-based merchandising for leading brands, delivering hands-on execution and a strong focus on customer experience.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently or with store teams, report results via mobile tools, and maintain brand standards through stock,

Qualifications

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout retail environments.
• Frequent lifting up to 35 lbs.
• Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to lift heavy objects up to 100 lbs with assistance.
• Comfortable working in refrigerated and freezer sections for limited periods.
• Smartphones required for reporting (iOS 11+ or newer; Android 2020+).

Responsibilities

• Stock, replenish, and merchandise products to maintain brand standards and in-store presentation.
• Execute merchandising projects, displays, resets, and promotions with precision.
• Build and maintain relationships with store management and associates.
• Ensure planogram compliance and maintain product placement standards.
• Complete store visit reports with photos and feedback using mobile tools.
• Communicate opportunities, challenges, and project updates.
• Manage schedules and store visits to meet deliverables on time.
• Maintain high quality, professionalism, and accountability across assignments.
• Support large-scale merchandising and retail execution initiatives as needed.
