Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking independent contractors to perform residential insurance inspections. As a 1099 contractor, you will travel to client locations, conduct inspections, take photos, record measurements, and produce detailed reports for underwriters.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of comparable experience in home inspection or underwriting.
• Reliable transportation and high-speed internet.
• Digital camera and measuring wheel or equivalent tool; Windows PC.
• Proficiency with inventory and reporting software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: prior underwriting or residential inspection experience; BA/BS; CPCU or IIA.
• Must own smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.

Responsibilities

• Schedule homeowner appointments and conduct on-site surveys.
• Take photos and measure the property.
• Document construction details, ownership risks.
• Identify underwriting concerns and outline loss-prevention recommendations.
• Compile replacement-cost estimates and full inspection reports.
• Submit reports online and ensure quality checks before underwriting.
