Job summary

A flexible independent service provider is seeking a Recreational Therapist to deliver individualized therapy services in the community. You will focus on goal-driven therapeutic interventions for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, providing therapy activities, and documentation in compliance with Medicaid standards. Qualified candidates should hold a Bachelor’s in Therapeutic Recreation and be CTRS-certified. This position allows for flexible hours and independent contractor agreements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CPR & First Aid Certificate.
• Must have a clean background check.
• Must maintain Professional Liability Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one recreational therapy for clients.
• Develop treatment plans based on client assessments.
• Document therapy details in accordance with Medicaid requirements.

Skills

CPR & First Aid Certification

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and with a team

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities

Familiarity with electronic health/medical records

Knowledge of HIPAA standards

Education

Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation
