Job summary

McHur Care is seeking a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to provide Medicaid-aligned behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and families in Amarillo and surrounding communities.

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not a traditional employment position. You will work in community-based settings, delivering direct services and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
• Eligible for QMHP or QMHPCS designation.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, or families preferred.
• Ability to travel between approved service locations.
• Strong written communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct biopsychosocial assessments within qualifications.
• Provide skills training, targeted case management, crisis intervention, and medication training.
• Develop and update crisis and safety plans.
• Coordinate services with clients, caregivers, treatment team and community partners.
• Deliver face-to-face services in homes, schools, and community locations.
• Complete accurate progress notes and required documentation.
• Maintain professional and empathetic communication with clients and families.
