Job summary

Island Doctors is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to independently manage health issues and coordinate care for patients in Florida. The role includes ordering tests, referring to specialists, prescribing medications, and ensuring complete medical documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Ideal candidates will hold current APRN licensure and NP certification, have nursing program credentials, and possess strong computer skills for charting and data

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current APRN licensure and NP certification.
• Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform comprehensive history and physicals for complex perioperative patients.
• Order labs and radiology, refer to specialists as needed.
• Prescribe medications and treatment regimens; discuss side effects and allergies with patients.
• Collaborate with the primary care team to deliver standard primary care services.
• Analyze medical data to diagnose conditions and propose treatments.
• Advise patients on lifestyle and dietary changes to improve health.
