Job summary

Biodesix is seeking a Mobile Phlebotomist (Independent Contractor) to collect samples at patients' homes or workplaces in Westminster, CA, using nasal swab or venipuncture. This contract role involves supporting COVID-19 testing and genomic/proteomic testing workflows.

You will be responsible for timely contact (within 24 hours), scheduling (1–3 days), proper specimen handling, and prompt invoicing. Must have reliable transportation and own supplies; virtual training provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year phlebotomy experience within the last 3 calendar years.
• Excellent verbal and written communication for client reporting.
• Ability to provide compassionate care to patients undergoing treatment.
• Ability to follow procedures and exercise good judgement.
• Organized scheduling and patient contact skills.
• Technical ability to print, scan, upload and manage electronic communications.

Responsibilities

• Contact each patient within 24 hours.
• Prompt scheduling of appointments (1 to 3 days).
• Communicate with the office regarding scheduling, patient issues or draw complications.
• Specimen collection adhering to kit instructions precisely.
• Samples packed and shipped same day using FedEx shipping materials provided by company.
• Prompt invoicing of draws for payment.
