Job summary

MMRO is seeking an Independent Medical Evaluator to provide impartial medical assessments that guide fair benefit and disability decisions. You will review records, perform evaluations, and render defensible opinions across the country as an independent contractor.

The role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to contribute to high-quality, evidence-based determinations, supported by MMRO’s Panel Health Program and medical leadership.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical license required.
• Board certification in specialty preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years post-training clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct independent medical evaluations and chart reviews following MMRO standards.
• Produce clear, evidence-based reports communicating clinical reasoning and conclusions.
• Collaborate with MMRO Panel Health Program and case teams while maintaining impartiality.
