BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers in New York seeks an Independent Medical Coding Consultant to strengthen clinical coding, billing, and revenue cycle operations. You will lead AI-assisted coding initiatives and validate AI outputs to ensure accuracy and faster claims.

You will mentor billing teams, develop SOPs, and optimize Athena workflows while reducing denials and improving process efficiency.

Competenze

• Certified in Medical Coding and Billing with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS expertise.
• Strong auditing and validation experience in medical coding.
• Ability to develop training materials and SOPs.
• Experience improving revenue cycle processes and analytics.
• Familiarity with Athena or similar EHR/revenue cycle tools.

Mansioni

• Review and validate corrected claims prior to submission.
• Audit XpertDox AI outputs and provide corrective recommendations.
• Educate billing staff on ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and documentation.
• Develop SOPs, training materials, and job aids for coding validation.
• Assess Athena workflows and propose optimization.
• Lead claims hold reduction initiatives and KPI tracking.
• Collaborate with vendor teams to improve AI performance.
