BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers is seeking an Independent Medical Coding Consultant to strengthen clinical coding, billing, and revenue cycle operations. You will bridge coding expertise with AI-enabled tools to improve accuracy, reduce denials, and accelerate claims processing across Athena.

The ideal candidate brings ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS knowledge, auditing experience, and the ability to train teams while collaborating with IT partners to implement robust coding validation and workflow

Competenze

• Certification in Medical Coding and Billing.
• ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers knowledge.
• Experience in coding validation and auditing.
• Experience in medical billing and revenue cycle.
• Familiarity with Athena or similar EHR systems.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted coding.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate coding into practical guidance.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and coding compliance.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating.

Mansioni

• Review and validate corrected claims before submission.
• Audit AI-generated coding recommendations and provide feedback.
• Train billing staff on coding validation procedures.
• Assess Athena workflows and optimize claim throughput.
