Job summary

Happen Bank in San Francisco, operating with a hybrid model (in-office Tue/Wed/Thu), seeks an Independent Compliance Risk Manager - Marketing to oversee marketing and advertising activities. You will partner with Marketing, Legal, Product Compliance, and Product to identify regulatory risk and ensure communications comply with ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, CAN-SPAM, and Fair Lending.

You’ll review materials across email, web, and social channels, maintain policies, and develop risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in marketing compliance or financial services compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Strong knowledge of ECOA, UDAAP, TILA, CAN-SPAM, and Fair Lending regulations.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and evolving requirements.
• Interest in applying AI to improve marketing content review while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent oversight across the Bank’s marketing program.
• Establish and maintain marketing standards, policies, and controls.
• Review marketing materials across email, web, digital ads, and social channels for disclosures and terms.
• Maintain the marketing and communications guide and update guidance as requirements evolve.
• Assess regulatory risks and develop risk mitigation strategies with stakeholders.
• Improve automated systems that support marketing asset reviews with AI and human oversight.
• Support internal audits and regulatory examinations related to marketing practices.
