Job summary

Underwriter Services Association is seeking independent contractors to perform nationwide insurance field inspections. Inspections are assigned and managed via our online portal with the inspector mobile dashboard, requiring walk-through observations, insured interviews, photos, and diagrams.

Reports, diagrams, details and photos must be uploaded within 14 days. Contractors set their own schedules, with payments issued monthly via ACH and a 1099 issued yearly for tax purposes.

Qualifications

• Independent business owner with flexible schedule.
• Experience in insurance field inspection or related work with relevant certifications.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation.
• Proficient writer able to deliver clear reports.
• Tech-savvy with MS Office proficiency.
• Must be 18+ and able to pass a background check; provide FEIN.

Responsibilities

• Complete property inspections using established templates.
• Interview the insured and perform walk-through observations.
• Take photos and provide diagrams of properties.
• Upload reports, diagrams and photos to inspector portal within 14 days.
• Work during standard business hours with the ability to set own appointment schedule.
