Cape Abilities in Hyannis, MA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide instruction and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and related needs. You will facilitate independent living and social skills while ensuring full community involvement.

The role involves implementing ISP objectives, providing personal care training, and maintaining positive relationships with families and staff. A valid MA driver’s license and state trainings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associates degree in related fields preferred.
• 1 year of direct care experience preferred.
• Ability to provide hands-on personal care and read fluently.

Responsabilités

• Implements ISP objectives and behavior plans as defined in service agreements.
• Provides training in personal care to individuals who require support.
• Provides one-on-one supervision to individuals per treatment goals and plans.
• Completes written program reports and incident reports as directed.
• Maintains open communication with families, caregivers, and staff.
