Volunteers of America Chesapeake and Carolinas seeks a Direct Support Professional to assist individuals in VOAC programs and homes in Manassas, VA. You will teach independent living skills, support daily living activities, and help with community integration.

Responsibilities include following ISP plans, documenting activities, and maintaining safety while complying with VOAC policies. Evening shifts and up to 25% travel are typical for this role; benefits apply to eligible staff.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities field.
• Medication Administration Certification preferred.
• Must pass state trainings and background checks.

Responsabilidades

• Support individuals to meet IDT-identified needs.
• Communicate with families and IDT members.
• Assist with household tasks and meal preparation.
• Help develop daily living skills and personal care.
• Ensure safety and document activities in logs.
• Plan community activities and accompany transportation.
• Follow VOAC policies, conduct fire drills and safety procedures.
