Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Georgia is seeking a Floating Direct Support Professional to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily tasks, transportation, personal care, and community activities, in a full-time Jonesboro, GA setting.

DSPs provide support aligned with Individualized Service Plans, document care using Therap, monitor health indicators, and ensure safety, nutrition, and adherence to policies. CPR/FA certification and driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Must have valid driver’s license and CPR/FA certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides transportation and supervision for individuals to employment, recreation, and activities.
• Performs safety checks for van transport and ensures proper securement.
• Assists with personal care tasks and activities of daily living.
• Completes documentation in Therap system and other programs.
• Monitors health indicators and administers medications per MAR.
• Lift and move up to 50 lbs as required.
