The Arc of Butte County is seeking an Independent Living Skills (ILS) Instructor to work one-on-one with adults with developmental disabilities, teaching daily living, problem-solving, and social skills to build greater independence in the community. This full-time role focuses on personalized instruction and client empowerment.

Responsibilities include guiding clients toward personal goals, tracking progress, and coordinating with families and other professionals.

Qualifications

• Must pass a post-offer background check and driving record check.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs and mobility support as needed.
• Work environment may include pet allergens.

Responsabilités

• Provide individualized skill development to support independence in daily living, social, and community skills.
• Support clients in achieving personal goals through structured, person-centered instruction.
• Monitor progress and adjust support strategies as needed.
• Drive between community-based settings and transport clients using a personal vehicle.
• Support community integration and social participation.
• Collaborate with families and other professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress.
• Other duties as assigned.
