Job summary

Thrive Support Services, Inc. is seeking an Independent Living Skills Instructor (Part-Time) in Watsonville, CA, to work one-on-one with adults with developmental disabilities.

You will teach independent living skills in a motivating, personalized, and professional environment, supporting goals like housing, transportation, and daily living activities. This role offers a $600 hiring bonus, comprehensive benefits, and paid training.

Qualifications

• A desire to help others.
• Access to a reliable vehicle.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Auto Insurance (100k/300k bodily injury liability).
• Pass a DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance.

Responsibilities

• Caseload of around 3–6 clients; travel to clients across Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
• No experience required—they provide training.
• Plan and participate in at least one community outing per month with each client.
• Support clients with money management, medical/dental/medication management, cooking, budgeting transport, housing, benefits, and socialization goals.
• Drive clients to appointments and errands as needed (mileage reimbursed).
