Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO is seeking a compassionate Residential Specialist to support adults in a housing program. You will supervise residents, teach daily living skills, and collaborate with a treatment team to implement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Some experience in Human Services or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field preferred; Associate degree may be considered.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Medication Administration training required.
• TB testing and health screenings annually required.
• Background screenings including criminal history and fingerprint checks required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Missouri driver's license with acceptable driving record and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive supervision to residents and promote independence.
• Teach daily living skills such as meals, housekeeping, hygiene, and activity planning.
• Facilitate resident groups and encourage growth and positive change.
• Implement treatment plan interventions and document accordingly.
• Monitor safety and security of residents and environment.
• Support crisis intervention and conflict resolution.
• Administer, document, and oversee medications per procedures.
• Communicate with nursing staff and treatment team regarding needs.
• Complete progress notes and required documentation timely.
• Attend meetings with residential staff and treatment teams.
