Job summary

Granite State Independent Living (GSIL) seeks a compassionate, organized professional to help individuals with disabilities achieve their goals through advocacy, skill-building, and community support. Travel throughout New Hampshire is required, with a mix of office, remote, and community-based work.

The role emphasizes meeting people in homes and community settings, building independent living skills, connecting to resources, and advocating to reduce barriers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Human Services or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in human services, case management, advocacy, education, healthcare, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting individuals in community settings.
• Passion for inclusion, advocacy, and empowering others.

Responsibilities

• Meet with consumers in homes and community settings.
• Help individuals build independent living skills to achieve personal goals.
• Connect consumers with employment, housing, and community resources.
• Support individuals through accessibility and home modification programs.
• Advocate alongside consumers to reduce barriers and increase opportunity.
• Maintain documentation and case notes.

In This Role, You Will

Granite State Independent Living is a statewide non-profit and New Hampshire's only Center for Independent Living, we stay close to our roots with a focus on our 5 core services of education, information, advocacy, support, and transition services for people with disabilities and underserved youth.
