Job summary

Dungarvin in Oakdale, MN seeks compassionate direct support professionals to provide in-home and in-community services. You will help individuals pursue more independent lives, work 1:1 with clients, and use your own vehicle to travel between shifts.

The role emphasizes life skills coaching, daily tasks, documentation, teamwork, and communication with supervisors. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required; mileage reimbursement is offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old (21 depending on person served).
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and a reliable vehicle.
• Experience working with developmentally disabled and/or mental illness preferred.
• Willing to drive a 30-mile radius.
• Good reading, writing and communication to document care and follow plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-home and in-community support to promote independence.
• Assist with daily activities: personal care, meals, transportation, housekeeping, laundry.
• Maintain a clean, safe space and help clients reach goals.
• Develop skills in community participation, health, safety and wellness, household management.
• Attend team meetings, document progress, and coordinate with the support team.
