Job summary

Heart of Tennessee Home Care LLC is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Pigeon Forge, TN for approximately 8 hours per week. The role focuses on one-on-one support to build independence and life skills, using a teacher/coach approach to help the individual reach personal goals.

Responsibilities include teaching independent living skills, supporting work-related skills, community activities, and following the person-centered plan. Schedule may expand with future needs and authorization.

Qualifications

• Background working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Training provided upon hire.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license and auto insurance if transportation is required.

• Teaching and reinforcing independent living skills.
• Supporting employment and work-related skills.
• Helping with community-based activities.
• Encouraging independence and confidence.
• Following the individual’s person-centered support plan.
• Completing required service documentation.
