Job summary

Maximum Care, Inc. is hiring Direct Service Professionals (DSPs) to provide one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

As an DSP, you’ll be a mentor, encourager, companion, and advocate . You’ll help individuals develop skills, become more independent, participate in their communities, and work toward the personal goals that matter most to them.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass required background checks.
• Meet training and employment requirements for the position.
• Ability to perform physical responsibilities associated with the participant’s needs.
• Reliable transportation may be required depending on assignment.
• Previous experience in direct care or related fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, one-on-one support based on ISP and personal goals.
• Teach and reinforce everyday living skills.
• Assist with meal planning, budgeting, shopping, and routines.
• Encourage independence and participation in community activities.
• Support goals related to independent living, education, volunteering, or employment.
• Accompany individuals to community events and transport as needed.
• Document progress toward individual goals and ensure health and safety.
