Job summary

South Shore Association dba SAIL is seeking a qualified professional to provide supportive counseling and training in independent living skills for residents in the Apartment Treatment Program. You will teach tenancy, daily living, social and vocational skills to promote independence and psychiatric stability.

You will coordinate admissions, transfers and discharges, conduct weekly face-to-face field services and apartment meetings, and collaborate with residents to develop personalized goals

Qualifications

• Education requirements as listed: HS diploma with relevant experience or degree with experience as specified.
• Critical thinking and sound judgment skills are necessary.
• Ability to manage change in a fast-paced growing business environment.
• Computer/office equipment usage.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrates organizational and communication skills with staff, clients, families, and the community.

Responsibilities

• Teach residents independent living, tenancy, housekeeping, socialization, vocational, educational, and community-integration skills.
• Coordinate resident admissions, transfers, and discharges with weekly face-to-face field services and apartment meetings.
• Develop, evaluate, and update person-centered service plans and goals with residents.
• Provide supportive counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and referrals to resources.
• Support medication self-administration and notify supervisors of emergencies.
• Promote safe housing by inspecting apartments, coordinating repairs, and teaching safety procedures.
• Provide transportation and manage resident funds; attend meetings and trainings; follow agency policies.
