Center for Hope and Safety in Bergen County, NJ seeks a Life Skills Caseworker to train clients in independent living, budgeting, and daily living skills. The role emphasizes one-on-one client support, personal growth, and connecting survivors with community resources.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree, 1 year of relevant experience, a valid driver's license, and bilingual Spanish proficiency. Evening and weekend availability may be required.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 year of social work or teaching experience with women and/or families.
• Teaching/training in daily living skills and adult education preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is a must.
• Valid Driver's License required for field visits.

Responsabilidades

• Meet residents weekly at their apartment or shelter or a community location as needed.
• Assist clients with planning, communal living, and weekly chore lists; conduct monthly house meetings.
• Support clients on personal growth, parenting skills, and behavior management of their children.
• Transport clients and teach transportation skills for appointments, job training, employment.
• Make referrals to community services and assist with holiday donations and activities.
