Job summary

The Champion Therapy Center seeks an independently licensed mental health therapist to join our outpatient practice in Lexington, KY. This 1099 independent contractor role starts part-time with potential to expand to a full-time caseload based on client demand and mutual agreement.

The position offers flexible daytime, evening, and weekend scheduling, with office space, EHR access, billing, and referral opportunities to support clinicians in building a thriving private practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or related field.
• Active, unrestricted independent clinical license (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT or equivalent).
• Experience providing outpatient psychotherapy.
• Strong diagnostic, assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound clinical judgment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, ethical, client-centered care.
• Motivation to develop and maintain a consistent caseload.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy.
• Complete comprehensive clinical assessments and establish diagnoses.
• Develop treatment plans using evidence-based interventions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Monitor client progress and coordinate care when clinically appropriate.
• Maintain ethical standards, professional boundaries, and client confidentiality.
• Exercise independent clinical judgment in the delivery of psychotherapy.
• Collaborate to grow a consistent client caseload.
• Develop professional referral relationships through networking and outreach.
