Job summary

Air National Guard Units in the United States seeks an Inspector General (Title 32) to plan, direct, and manage the wing IG program. You will act as an independent IG with broad authority, reporting directly to the wing commander and serving as their confidential representative.

You will oversee IG programs covering investigations, whistleblower protections, fraud, waste and abuse, and complaints resolution, ensuring readiness, discipline, and efficiency in support of mission objectives.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and manages the programs of the wing Inspector General office.
• Operates as an independent Inspector General with broad authority to make decisions and recommendations.
• Directly manages IG programs addressing readiness, economy, efficiency, effectiveness, and discipline.
• Develops strategic plans and objectives for IG programs and staff alignment with higher headquarters directives.
• Applies IG and whistleblower laws and investigative techniques to resolve complaints.
• Makes independent decisions in complex IG cases with limited precedent or procedures.
