Air National Guard Units in the United States seeks an Inspector General (GS-1801-13) to plan, direct, and manage the wing IG office's programs. As an independent IG, you will operate with broad authority and serve as the confidential representative of the wing commander.

You will develop strategic plans, evaluate IG programs, and implement policies across Wing and GSU units. Telework is eligible; a Secret clearance is required, with a compressed work schedule and mandatory IG training.

Formación

• Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must complete IG training courses (IGTC-I and IGTC-Q) within 180 days of appointment.

Responsabilidades

• Plan, direct, and manage the programs of the wing Inspector General office.
• Act as an independent Inspector General under broad authority and as confidential representative of the wing commander.
• Directly manage IG programs to assess readiness, economy, efficiency, effectiveness, and discipline.
• Develop short- and long-term strategic plans, goals, and objectives for the wing and IG staff.
• Develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of IG programs and inspection areas.
• Apply extensive knowledge of wing/GSU mission sets to integrate IG programs with higher HQ directives.
