Job summary

Excelsior Orthopaedics is seeking a Per-Diem Imaging Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with X-ray equipment, follow ALARA safety standards, and maintain patient records in the EMR system.

The role requires NY license and ARRT certification with 2–3 years of experience preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology is required.
• Current ARRT certification in good standing.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
• 2–3 years of experience preferred (not required).
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to obtain diagnostic images under supervision.
• Perform quality control procedures for image quality.
• Prepare patients and instruct for radiographic procedures.
• Document procedures and maintain EMR records.
• Annotate images for interpretation.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety standards.
• Maintain and test imaging equipment.
• Maintain patient confidentiality.
• Attend CE courses to maintain NYSDOH licensure and ARRT.
• Participate in trainings and meetings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
