Job summary

Excelsior Orthopaedics is hiring an Imaging Technologist to perform radiographic procedures and maintain accurate patient records. The role requires NY licensure, ARRT certification, and 2–3 years of experience. You will support multiple locations, adhere to ALARA standards, and participate in continuing education.

Responsibilities include image acquisition, QC, patient prep, and documentation in EMR. Travel to satellite sites is required, with occasional nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• AAS in Radiologic Technology required.
• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license.
• Current ARRT certification in good standing.
• 2–3 years of experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic equipment to obtain diagnostic images under supervision.
• Perform quality control to ensure optimal image quality.
• Prepare patients for procedures and provide education.
• Document procedures in the EMR system and maintain records.
• Annotate images for interpretation by physicians.
• Follow ALARA radiation safety standards and maintain equipment.
• Assist with removal of casts, splints, sutures and staples as directed.
• Operate C-arm fluoroscopy equipment as required.
• Prepare sterile trays and fluoroscopy rooms for procedures.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and cross-train in scheduling.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed and participate in CE for NYSDOH licensure.
• Attend OSHA trainings and departmental meetings.
