Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC in Laurel, MS is hiring a Sprinkler Service Technician who independently performs service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems, with potential Journeyman level responsibilities, following NFPA standards and local codes.

The role requires a high school diploma, 3+ years in fire and life safety, NICET Level I or higher preferred, a clean driving record, and strong teamwork to support apprentices and customers while traveling to job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and service procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
