Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems. The role may be considered at a Journeyman level and requires compliance with NFPA standards, local codes, and company procedures.

The technician will diagnose deficiencies, perform repairs, document work, and communicate with customers. Travel to job sites is required, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• CSA Sprinkler License preferred.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
