Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Sprinkler Install Technician to independently install fire sprinkler systems and ensure code compliance. The role requires interpreting blueprints, using tools, and maintaining safety and documentation, with opportunities to mentor apprentices and travel to sites.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, 3+ years in fire/life safety, and a NICET or equivalent preference, along with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system installation practices.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications for installation projects.
• Use hand tools and installation equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and installation reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Support and assist entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
