Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Senior Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. This role requires strong technical skill, applicable licenses, and the ability to complete jobs without supervision.

Must possess NICET II or Kentucky SSR license, maintain a valid driver’s license, and uphold NFPA standards and local codes. Travel to job sites is required, with benefits and career development opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems.
• NICET II or Kentucky Sprinkler Inspections License (SSR).
• Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, codes, and inspection procedures.
• Clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Guide and support entry-level technicians and apprentices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
