Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking an Inspections Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and extinguisher systems, ensuring compliance with codes and company procedures.

Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma, 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, and NICET Level I or higher preferred, with a clean driving record and willingness to travel to job sites. We offer excellent pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving is required).

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler, fire alarms, and fire extinguishers systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
