Job summary

Avail Health & Behavioral Solutions, LLC is seeking a Direct Care Provider to join our registry network as an independent contractor. You will provide one-on-one home and community support for an adult male in his 30s on the autism spectrum, including community activities at local stores, gym, and grocery.

This role offers part-time hours (18 hours per week) with a Tuesday–Friday schedule 2:00 PM–5:30 PM and every other Saturday 10:00 AM–2:00 PM in Pace, FL, with no evenings or overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for professional use (gas/mileage not reimbursed).
• Ability to pass a Level II Background Screening.
• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or behavioral health needs.
• Personal smartphone required for app-based scheduling and client communication.
• CPR/First Aid Certification required within 30 days of onboarding.
• APD Training Certificates required within 30 days of onboarding.
• CNA, BLS, HHA, or DSP certifications preferred (not required).

• Encourage positive behaviors and reinforce person-centered goals
• Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies
• Promote client dignity, choice, and community involvement
• Maintain professional boundaries and respectful communication
• Ensure client safety following APD guidelines and agency protocols
• Communicate effectively with agency leadership, families, and support coordinators
• Respond to behavioral or medical emergencies following agency protocols (as needed)

Primary support includes community integration and social skill-building around town, including the local pet store, gym, and grocery store. This is a great opportunity for experienced caregivers or special education teachers looking to expand their current case load or pick up extra hours.

This is an Independent Contractor (1099) position, not a W-2 employment role. Contractors are strictly responsible for their own tax obligations (including self-employment taxes) and are not eligible for company-sponsored benefits, health insurance, or paid time off.
