Job summary

Allied Instructional seeks a certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist to join our team of independent contractors in the Auburn, AL area. The position is on-site and itinerant, serving students with visual impairments in local schools.

The role requires assessments, IEP development, and collaboration with educators, parents, and service providers. A professional Certification in Orientation and Mobility is required; both part-time and full-time on-site opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional Certification and/or licensure in Orientation and Mobility.
• Experience writing and implementing IEPs.
• Knowledge of special education regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Experience conducting Orientation and Mobility assessments and recommendations.
• Working knowledge of travel skills for students with blindness or low vision.
• Experience providing consultation and training to teachers and service providers.

Responsibilities
