Job summary

Allied Instructional in the Richmond, Virginia area seeks independent contractors to join our team as Orientation and Mobility Specialists. These itinerant specialists work with local school divisions to support students with visual impairments, providing assessments and related services.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Professional Certification and/or licensure in Orientation and Mobility.
• Preferred work-related experience as an Orientation and Mobility Specialist.
• Ability to work in a team with educators, families, and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments for students with visual impairments.
• Develop and implement IEPs related to orientation and mobility.
• Collaborate with teachers and service providers to support travel skills.
