Job summary

Jawonio Inc. in New City, NY is seeking an Occupational Therapist as an Independent Contractor to develop and implement treatment plans for children according to IFSP goals. You will collaborate with PT, Speech, educators, and family members to ensure progress and home-based or center-based sessions.

The position requires NYS licensure and NBCOT certification, with CPR preferred. You will document sessions, support attendance and billing, and participate in ongoing BEI-mandated training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program is required.
• Experience documenting service logs and progress reports.
• Knowledge of DOH regulations and IFSPs.

Responsibilities

• Plans and provides appropriate therapeutic interventions for EI children with various disabilities based upon individual IFSP outcomes
• Modifies therapy program as needed.
• Documents daily treatment sessions
• Provides records for attendance and billing.
• Communicates with providers and family members about child’s progress.
• Completes biannual progress notes with information from daily sessions.
• Performs and documents MDEs, Supplemental Evals and CPSE evals
• Completes any agency mandatory in‑services and keeps up with 10 hours a year of Early Childhood training as per BEI requirements
