Job summary

AOM Infusion, a leading home and specialty infusion provider, is seeking an Infusion Nurse, Independent Contractor, based in New York City/Brooklyn. You will deliver patient-centered care, perform IV access management, educate patients and families, and collaborate with in-house RN staff to implement and update care plans.

Responsibilities include clinical assessments, documentation, adherence to safety and infection control standards, and coordination of visits with the health care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed and registered as a registered nurse in the States where practicing.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of experience as a registered nurse preferably in a home infusion setting.
• Experience with pediatric home infusion preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care per the plan of care and physician orders.
• Assess and document biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Perform physical assessments and report problems to physician and in-house RN staff.
• Coordinate with in-house RN staff on the nursing care plan and treatment.
• Inserts and maintains IV access devices; monitor and document device status.
• Complete patient charting and documentation; ensure HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Provide patient and family education on health care needs and therapy.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate supplies for visits; prepare back-up emergency supplies.
