Job summary

AOM Infusion in New York City/Brooklyn seeks an Infusion Nurse, Independent Contractor to provide in-home and facility-based infusion care. The role requires RN licensure, CPR, and at least one year of nursing experience, preferably in home infusion.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, care planning with in-house RN staff, education, and adherence to infection control and HIPAA guidelines. This contract position offers flexible scheduling and local patient assignments.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed and registered as a registered nurse in the States where practicing.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least one year of nursing experience; home infusion preferred.
• Experience with infusion access devices (peripheral, PICC, CVAD).
• Ability to work pediatric patients or willingness to specialize.
• Flexible with after-hours care and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document biophysical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Perform physical assessments and report problems to physician/in-house RN staff.
• Cooperate with in-house RN staff on care plan per physician orders.
• Identify and report changes in patient condition affecting plan of care.
• Educate patients and families about health care needs and therapies.
• Maintain and assess IV access devices and report supply needs to pharmacy.
• Document care and obtain patient signatures; use iPad for visits.
