Job summary

Underwriter Services Association seeks an experienced Commercial Lines Loss Control Consultant to perform inspections and consultative visits in the Denver area. Independent 1099 contractor paid per completed report or hourly, with weekly payments after submission.

You’ll need solid communication, tech, and organizational skills and own equipment. A quick turnaround and reliable transportation are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience completing property and casualty loss control surveys and reports.
• Solid understanding of general liability and property coverage.
• Prefer knowledge of commercial auto, workers’ compensation, and inland marine coverages.
• Able to meet hard due dates with minimal supervision.
• Capable of assessing physical condition of properties and documenting findings.
• Own a computer and transportation for wide territory coverage.

Responsibilities

• Set site inspection appointments with insured/agent via email and phone.
• Conduct complete physical inspections of properties in assigned territory.
• Take digital photos of properties.
• Identify hazards/controls and document findings.
• Conduct on-site management interviews as required.
• Upload report and photos through a cloud-based system.
• Complete required online training courses.
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
